B. App. Sc and PhD in Molecular Pathology, Nutrition Diploma, Certified Nutrigenomist, MINDD practitioner and member of the IICT.
Hi, I’m Dr Heather Way (PhD) and I am passionate about the transformative power of personalised health and nutrition. I have a B. App. Sc and PhD in Molecular Pathology, Nutrition Diploma, Certified Nutrigenomist, MAPS presenter and member of the IICT. Prior to clinical practice, I worked as a Scientist with CSIRO for 25 years. Please let me clarify that I am not a medical Doctor, rather a PhD researcher with a passion for Autism research.
I have 2 beautiful sons who have now both recovered from Autism using our TACGA strategies. They had complicated yet different health issues. I have had extensive first hand experience dealing with extreme food intolerances, ASD issues from non-verbal autism to Asperger’s, ADHD, anxiety, depression, eczema, fussy eaters, sensory issues, gut issues such as IBS, reflux, diarrhoea, constipation and leaky gut etc. Our family have personally lived through all of these issues and I am well aware of the complexities surrounding them. These experiences give me a unique, hands on perspective. I am thus able to help you with realistic family friendly strategies that are proven to work with ASD.
The missing piece to the puzzle for my children came through addressing gene expression via Nutrigenomics and Microbiome sequencing. This offers the perfect marriage between my three great passions; Molecular genetics, Nutrition and Autism. Together they emerge as the exciting new field of “Nutrigenomics” (Nutrition and Genomics).
I teach paedeatricians all around the world how to use genomics when speaking at conferences such as MAPS and Autism One in the USA, Bio-balance, ASLM and A5M. I am on the scientific advisory board for Victus Health, Julie Matthews (Nourishing Hope) USA, Fitgenes, smartDNA and IntellxxDNA (USA). I am the lead researcher for a number of world-leading genetics and microbiome companies working on autism and have helped develop several Autism specific genomics tests.
I created the company TACGA with the vision to build a team of online practitioners who can help families all over the world. Come and meet the team today.
