PectaSol-C® Professional Modified Citrus Pectin (P-MCP) is the
original and extensively researched low molecular weight
pectin, extracted from the pith of citrus peels and modified
using a proprietary pH and enzyme process to achieve the
precise molecular structure required for bioavailability and
bioactivity, as shown in the literature. Unlike regular pectin
polysaccharides, which are too large to be absorbed from the
GI tract, specialized PectaSol-C® oligosaccharides allow for
excellent absorption into the circulation for systemic benefits.
Other “modified” citrus pectins are not equivalent to PectaSol-C®,
where strict parameters of standardized molecular weight
and esterification are maintained. PectaSol-C® does not
contain vitamin C.
